PERAN PDAM CISURUPAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN AIR BERSIH DAN DAMPAKNYA DI KAMPUNG PALALANGON (1992- 2003)

Abstrak

This study explores the development of PDAM Cisurupan in Kampung Palalangon from 1992 to 2003. The main objectives are to describe the community's condition before the PDAM network, explain its background, and analyze its social and economic impacts. The research uses a historical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with PDAM Cisurupan of0icials, local residents, and supported by literature. The 0indings reveal that the presence of PDAM improved access to clean water, enhanced public health, reduced household workload, and supported small-scale businesses. It also promoted cleaner and healthier living habits. In conclusion, PDAM Cisurupan made a signi0icant contribution to improving the quality of life of Kampung Palalangon residents.
